ALGORITHM ENGINEER

The Wireless Communication Algorithm Team in Sony Semiconductor Israel is seeking a passionate algorithm engineer with focus in design, analysis, implementation, optimization, and experimental evaluation of physical layer algorithms to join the team in Hod Hasharon. The Algorithm team creates wireless modem solutions for 4G and 5G IoT chipsets while bridging the gap between algorithm theory and practical applications of algorithms. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware to deliver exceptional low power modem with state-of-the-art performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, Design and Develop novel algorithms for physical layer communication and related areas
  • Support the design teams (DSP, FW, HW) during implementation phase
  • Optimize algorithms for on-device inference

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent graduates (Bachelor’s degree) in Electrical / Computer Engineering
  • Fast learning
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Matlab
  • Experience in Python
  • Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in signal processing and parameters estimation
  • Experience in wireless communication
  • Experience in Cellular or modem design
