System Architect 

Be part of a team that’s defining and shaping the next generation IoT products! Sony Semiconductor IL is building the architecture of the world’s best IoT semiconductors, and we’re looking for a superstar system architect to join our team. In this role you’ll be working on highly complex, super low-power, multi-radio system-on-chips, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and systems. You’ll also be part of the bigger picture, collaborating with the product, marketing, silicon, hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams to compile macro architectures, software/hardware partitioning, interfaces, and other system-level considerations. You’ll be the top-tier technical arm of our marketing department, working with tier-1 customers’ product managers and architects, providing explanations, discussing considerations, and finding solutions to customers’ requirements.

 Responsibilities

  • Lead product features from the idea to detailed architecture and implementation
  • Define requirements and high-level architecture for all software modules from the embedded systems up to the customer tools
  • Collaborate closely with the product and marketing teams to build new products for strategic customers
  • Collaborate with the R&D and CTO teams to determine requirements for software development and architecture
  • Prepare detailed requirement documents for embedded systems
  • Take a proactive approach to challenges and research optimal system solutions and improved power consumption on an ongoing basis

  • Experience working in a team of architects and specialists developing new technology
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of network layers (cellular is an advantage)
  • Expertise in relevant domains, superb system understanding, and the ability to learn fast and work hard
  • Teamwork and a good attitude

Stand Out From the Crowd!

While these aren’t essential resume items, we prefer candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • MSc or PhD degree
  • Experience in semiconductor companies in the communications field
  • Proven experience as an SW architect for embedded systems and real-time OS knowledge
