LTE is quickly becoming the global standard for next-generation wireless networks. The GSA reported that 260 operators had commercially launched LTE services in 95 countries in 2013, and forecasted that there will be at least 350 LTE networks in commercial service by end 2014.

LTE integration is a significant undertaking, requiring a hefty amount of time, research, and investment. It also requires lengthy periods of technical testing, trial and error.

When it comes to evaluating and selecting cost-effective and reliable LTE solutions for integration into your device, there is no single fool-proof formula for success. However, OEMs and ODMs would be wise to consider these five tips when searching for an LTE partner.
